Question

How does sole custody differ from joint custody in the Russian Federation?

!
Answer

The Russian Law doesn’t provide the definition of the term of the Child Custody. In fact, the parent with whom the child lives has a sole custody. Only if both parent lives together, they have joint custody over their child.

Articles and consultations authored by attorney reflect the state of law as of the date of their writing. The laws change daily. Users of this site are advised to consult attorney regarding their situation.
